Kyoto
map prints.

Kyoto's central grid gives a clear pattern beside the Kamo River. Smaller blocks and the narrow river corridor make a quiet, detailed map composition.

WHAT’S ON YOUR MAP

A closer look at Kyoto.

Keep the river near one side for the first view. Move east for the streets around Gion or west for more of the regular grid.

The pictured designs show streets, water, and open spaces. You can move the map, change its colors, add a marker, and write your own title in the studio.

11 Kyoto wards

Kyoto’s boundary styles use the city’s 11 wards from OpenStreetMap, such as Higashiyama, Nakagyō and Sakyō. Kyoto’s thousands of small chō are too fine to letter on a print, so the wards carry the names.

ANOTHER WAY TO SEE IT

Let the names draw the map.

This view fits the bundled area dataset into the print. The lettering follows those shapes, with roads and water fills removed. Inspect the smallest names before choosing a size.

BEFORE YOU START

A few useful details.

Can I move the map to another part of Kyoto?

Yes. Drag or zoom the map in the studio, or search for an address. The preview updates as you move. Check the edges and the detail before saving your design.

Can I change the words and colors?

You can change the title, subtitle, and caption, choose another palette, adjust the layout, and add markers. Your saved link keeps the design so you can return to it.

Will I receive a download or a physical print?

Block and Paper makes physical prints. Designing and saving are free; print orders open when checkout is available. There is no print-file download.

Which size should I choose?

A close street view can work well at 12 × 16 inches. A wider, denser composition benefits from more space. Compare the actual map detail, then read our print size guide.
